Head Department of Media at (KSU) Dr. Fahd Alkhreiji:
"The countdown for convening the 1st International Conference for Communication Technologies and Social Change has started"

Dr. Fahd alkhreiji, Head Department of Media at KSU and Deputy Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the 1st International Conference for Communication Technologies and Social Change, which is organized by the Media Department at KSU next month, has commended the preparations underway to convene the conference. The relevant committees made the necessary preparations each in its area; and the activity of such committees is ever increasing especially when the time for convening the conference is approaching.

The president of King Saud University, Professor Abdullah Bin-Abdulrahman Al-Othman, signed a three-year joint contract with Kent State University to teach entrepreneurship in the foundation year in the University and to develop its curricula on Tuesday 4/12/1429H. The ceremony was attended by Professor Ali Bin-Sa’id Al-Ghamidi, the vice president for knowledge exchange and technology transfer, Professor Ahmed Al-Shimemri, the Dean of development and the supervisor of the entrepreneurship centre, and Doctor Abdulaziz Al-Othman, the Dean of the foundation year.

Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud was awarded an honorary doctorate degree by Riyadh-based King Saud University.
He was awarded the prestigious degree during an audience he offered at his office at he Ministry of Defense and Aviation for the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari; Rector of King Saud University Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Othman; the undersecretaries of the university and deans of faculties.

King Saud University came first among Saudi universities in the number of published papers in international journals and won the SCOPUS Prize. The researcher from King Saud University, College of Medicine, Department of Surgery, Doctor Mohammed Manna’ Al-Qattan won the first place in SCOPUS Prize competition among researchers from other Saudi universities whose work was referred to in scientific papers. On Wednesday, the University held a big ceremony to celebrate the distinguished researchers and scientists and to distribute the SCOPUS Prizes to honour them. This ceremony was organised by the Deanship of the libraries affairs in the university in cooperation with the collective participation committee for data bases in the Saudi universities.
